Groovesound Records and Broken Chain Records have teamed up to release Brother IG's latest album Soul Searching. The album is scheduled to hit the shelves on June 17th. Brother IG is a Christian rapper from San Jose, California. Soul Searching is a CD with a bonus DVD featuring exclusive interviews, concert footage, and videos.
Brother IG is a nationaly recognized artist for faithful service in rap ministry with a strong backing from Victory Outreach International. He has appeared on 2 previous Groovesound releases. First collabing with Heata on "Lay It Down" a track off Igniting Tha Fire and also featuring a track on the 2006 release of Keep It Gangsta Compilation. Lingo Releases New Album
For nearly 8 years Lingo has been contributing music to the Christian rap scene. Producing and working with artists such as KJ52, The ORC, Antonious, D.O.G. Squad, and Fred Lynch, while
bringing us solo projects "Representin Tha Finest", and "All Things 2 All People".
Now the renowned Texas producer and rapper releases his third solo effort in "No Cost for Da Streetz". On this installment Lingo brings out his Texas roots with Christ filled messages the of hope and salvation over a southern sound that is prominent in today's music market. Lingo shows us his ability to speak to the lost and church alike, while maintaining a high level of energy through his beats and delivery. Through it all, reminding us that the streets should not be forgotten and should be reached at any cost. No Cost for Da Streetz is sure rap enjoyment and a nice addition to today's music scene and any hip hop collection.
The album is released by Groovesound Records and distributed through Infinity Music Distribution. This is the first album Groovesound will release through Infinity Music Distribution via a new distribution agreement between the label and distributor. Previous label releases were handled by Word Distribution via an agreement with LKS. "We want to thank LKS and Word distribution for a great 3 years of partnership. We appreciate the opportunity to work with such industry staples" states Eddie Rodriguez, VP of Groovesound Records.
